How was my understanding of blues after my performance?

This week we practiced or blues song and Mr. Herry assessed us. My group is with Shafiera and Astri, and I thought that I've done quite well about it. With this assessment, I've begun to learn Blues with more passion. My understanding about the accompaniment chords went better because it increases the range of scales I knew, enabling me to accompany a blues song.

Instrument Class: Rehearsal and Assessment

On this week, we rehearsed our blues song for the last time and assessed on the following day. I made some minor changes on the accompaniment on the part where I'm not playing to make it sound better, by using the left hand as the bass and the right hand as the chord.

After making my blues song, I 've begun to understand more the true purpose of this song, and it's used in real life. With learning this, I can do some improvisation in simple songs, that I use mainly to teach and help my sister, in learning her new songs. This is really important in order to increase our skills and abilities.

Did you face any challenges working on your 12-bars-blues?

On making my 12-bars-blues song, I do face several problems, mainly because of the minor details such as the sharp, flat, and rests. This week, we rehearsed and practiced our 12-bars-blues for the assessment on march. We need to make the 12-bars-blues extension for March too. I also found some errors which I soon fixed to make the song better.
